Greek Yogurt with Strawberry

A simple fruit-and-yogurt bowl with a thicker spoon texture.

Ingredients

  • plain whole milk Greek yogurt
  • strawberries

How to make it

  1. Step 1
Cook the plain whole milk Greek yogurt, strawberries until everything is soft and easy to mash with the back of a fork.
  2. Step 2
Leave the texture thicker than an early puree, or shape the food into very soft pieces that your baby can pick up safely.
  3. Step 3
Serve by spoon, preloaded spoon, or as soft finger-food pieces depending on how your baby is eating at this stage.

Best age fit

Usually about 7 to 9 months, depending on feeding progress

Texture guide

Thick mash, soft lumpy spoon texture, or finger-food pieces that squash easily between two fingers.

Serving tip

Offer one or two meals a day and keep familiar foods in rotation while adding new combinations.

Storage

Store in small portions so you can reheat only what you need and keep the texture moist.

Safety note

Make sure finger foods stay soft and large enough to grasp or small enough to swallow safely. Avoid dry chunks and hard raw foods.
